Amber Lanning - Mrs. Texas United NationWho said a wife, graduate student, humanitarian, acting teacher and mother of three can't be a beauty queen? Amber Lanning, Mrs. Texas United Nation and 2007 Dynamo Trophy Babe, certainly deserves the title not only for her looks but also for her dedication to community service. In 1999, she was diagnosed with endometriosis after more than five years of struggling to get pregnant. Since then, she has not only made endometriosis awareness her platform, but also a personal mission. This professional actress/choreographer is a leader of a humanitarian group dedicated to projects benefiting families. Furthermore she actively visits and volunteers for cancer patients and is the creator of a music movement literacy program designed for young children. |

Sheryl SwoopesWNBA pioneer and three time MVP Sheryl Swoopes opened the doors of her home to congratulate the Houston Dynamo for their recent MLS Cup championship. The Olympic Gold Medalist is proud of the Orange as they are the second Houston team to win their league's championship title their inaugural year. Sheryl is an original member of the Houston Comets who clenched the WNBA's first four Championship titles and the first woman to have her own Nike basketball shoe named after her, the Air Swoopes. |

Dr. Carolyn Farb, hcCarolyn Farb personifies the perfect volunteer and the true meaning of a philanthropist. Her life exemplifies public service and is an example of the power of one individual's commitment to a cause. In 1983, Carolyn received international recognition when she raised the first million dollars in a single evening for the Stehlin Foundation for Cancer Research. Carolyn was most recently honored with the President’s Volunteer Service Award and named the first Cadillac Texas Legend by the Houston Chronicle and KHOU-TV. For the last twenty years, she has dedicated her talent, creativity and wisdom to chair several campaigns for UNICEF raising $15 million dollars benefiting the children of the world and the AIDS pandemic. She has authored two books: "How to Raise Millions, Helping Others, Having a Ball" and "The Fine Art of Fundraising," which are available on Amazon.com. Carolyn wanted to congratulate the Houston Dynamo from The Vale-Asche Foundation Playground which opened December, 2006 in Memorial Park. This first of its kind "inclusive playground" will offer all of Houston's children equal play opportunities regardless of their abilities. |

Houston Texans CheerleadersThese eleven Texans Cheerleaders took time out of their busy schedule to cheer and congratulate Dynamo defender Craig Waibel and midfielder Stuart Holden for their MLS Championship title. These ladies are not only talented dancers but also intelligent, responsible babes who juggle families, careers, community service and getting the crowd hype at every Texans game. Within this high spirited squad there are professional dancers, global management consultants, aspiring singers, models, communications graduates, and business managers, just to name a few. |

Senator Kay Bailey HutchisonThe MLS Cup has made it all the way to Capital Hill! Senator Kay Bailey Hutchison made a quick stop in The Space City to among other things acknowledge the Houston Dynamo's MLS Cup triumph. A native Texan and one of the world's most powerful women, according to Forbes Magazine's 2005 list, was very happy for the team and what their win means for the city. The high ranking Republican senator is a voice not only in the states but internationally as well having served on the Commission on Security and Cooperation in Europe, Military Construction Subcommittee, Defense Subcommittee of the Senate Appropriations Committee and the Veterans' Affairs Committee to name a few. She is highly decorated and was most recently honored with the 2006 American Legion National Commander's Distinguished Public Service Award.

Elyse LanierMrs. Elyse Lanier was once quoted as saying, "When you've got something great, you don't want to keep it a secret," when referring to the city of Houston, but this can also be said about the Dynamo. The native Houstonian and Port of Houston Commissioner took time to congratulate the Dynamo for becoming the 2006 MLS Champs from her home in River Oaks. She is a well-known, decorated and influential lady having served on the University of Houston's board of regents and as the city’s first lady during Mayor Bob Lanier's tenure. Currently she serves on the boards of the Texas Medical Center, the University of Texas Health Science Center, the M.D. Anderson Cancer Center, and the Texas Heart Institute. Her honors include the Houston Area Urban League's Heritage Award and the YMCA of Greater Houston's Texas Star Award and extend from the American Horticultural Society to Leadership Houston and Talento Bilingue de Houston Cultural Center.

Mary Lou RettonAn all around Olympic babe, Mary Lou Retton is not only America's most popular athlete but also a commentator, motivator, mother of five and Dynamo supporter. This Gold Medal gymnast was the youngest inductee admitted into the USOC Olympic Hall of Fame. Her picture has graced the box covers of Wheaties and has been honored as Sports Illustrated's "Sportswoman of the Year." As if that wasn't enough, today, she devotes her time to helping children by serving on the board of governors and as national co-host of the Children's Miracle Network annual telethon and starring on her show Mary Lou's Flip Flop Shop on PBS. |

Lisa Foronda – Channel 11When you wish upon a star...the Orange Wave doesn't let you down! Lisa Foronda, Channel 11 news babe and die-hard Dynamo fan is now reporting her team's MLS Championship news. Not only that but she will be co-hosting this year's HEB Holiday Parade where the Dynamo will serve as Grand Marshalls. Lisa is a great broadcaster but you can also catch her working with local animal welfare groups, including Citizens for Animal Protection, the Spay-Neuter Assistance Program and Saving Animals Across Borders as well as volunteering for Taping for the Blind and the Bering Omega Hospice House. |

Judge Bonnie HellumsThe Defense rests its case...Judge Bonnie Hellums is guilty of being the most dedicated community service oriented, family abuse fighting babe in Houston! A mother of two and attorney, Judge Hellums has contributed to the Houston area not only on the bench but also by helping establish the new Family Drug Court. She believes in giving back and has done her share through her work in this program that helps drug addicts who have lost their children to Child Protective Services turn their lives around and, hopefully, reunite with their loved ones. Some of her past jobs include working for Rice University and the University of Houston. Today you will find her as the presiding judge of the 247th Family District Court in Harris County. |

LeToya LuckettTalented, down to earth and an entrepreneur...those are just a few ways to describe Grammy nominated babe: LeToya. She started her singing career at a Houston area church when she was five and then went on to be an original member of Destiny's Child. Not only does she have powerful vocal cords, but also she is a song writer, credited with co-writing some of Destiny's Child signature songs and "All Eyes On Me" on her self-titled solo album. Lauren Anderson - Houston BalletThe first babe to hoist the cup is none other than Houston native, Lauren Anderson. Lauren is a professional ballet dancer who has been involved with Houston Ballet's Ben Stevenson Academy from the age of seven. In 1990, Lauren became the first African-American to be promoted to principal dancer. Ms. Anderson has danced leading roles in numerous classical ballets. Her repertoire also includes works by George Balanchine, Sir Kenneth MacMillan, Christopher Bruce, James Kudelka, and Trey McIntyre. "I am thrilled for the Dynamo, and am very proud to be holding the MLS Cup. This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, so I'm very proud to be the first person selected to receive this honor," said Anderson. |
