 Devon Energy and the Houston Dynamo want to spotlight dynamic students who excel in the classroom. Local teachers are invited to nominate an outstanding student who inspires others, has overcome obstacles - academic or otherwise - to succeed, and/or demonstrates significant effort and dedication at school for the Devon Energy Student of the Match Award.
Houston-area students from elementary, middle, and high schools are eligible to be recognized at halftime during a Houston Dynamo home game as the Devon Energy Student of the Match. Each winning student will receive complimentary tickets for his or her classmates (30 maximum), teacher, principal, and parents to attend selected games.
The first 10 nominations received will be rewarded with a 2008 team-autographed Houston Dynamo ball.
