After receiving an invitation to the Dynamo Elite Camp last August, Conner Mowery grabbed the attention of Dynamo youth coaches with a physical defensive presence to earn a spot in the Dynamo Academy.
 Houston Dynamo goalkeeper Pat Onstad never once looked bored in the team's scoreless draw last weekend against Chivas USA. And that was a feat all in itself.
 The Houston Dynamo and Colorado Rapids are plenty familiar with each other after playing eight times in the last two seasons, but Houston defender Bobby Boswell is familiar with one of Saturday's opponents for a very different reason.
