Dynamo Academy U-16
presented by:
Founded in 2007, the Dynamo Academy U-16 squad consists of the best youth players in the Houston area aged 14-16. They train four days per week in a professional environment and compete in the United States Soccer Federation Development Academy league, the most competitive youth league in the country.
The team also plays international games, including trips to Mexico and El Salvador. Top players at the U-16 level will progress to the U-18 team. Historically, the Academy's top players at the U-18 level have been invited to train with the Dynamo first team as opportunities arise throughout the season. Successful Academy graduates can be designated as Dynamo home-grown players and can eventually be promoted directly to the Dynamo first team. The Academy curriculum will focus on the four corners of player development: technical, social, psychological, and physical. The players will be trained under the direction of Dynamo head coach Dominic Kinnear, Dynamo Director of Youth Development James Clarkson, and the Dynamo Academy coaching staff.Schedule/Results – 2009-2010
